Description:
The sacroiliac joint has traditionally been controversial as a source of pain. As knowledge about the structure and function of the joint expanded, this changed. Currently, the literature reports that SIJ is the source of pain in as many as 30% of people with LBP complaints. SIJ can be difficult to assess clinically. Assessment of the location and nature of pain, posture and movement of the patient, and clusters of manual provocative tests can clarify a working diagnosis of SIJ dysfunction.
This entry aims to simplify the wide range of options available to clinicians. We will demonstrate the most effective examinations and the application of modern evidence-based treatments to guide effective and efficient improvements for our patients, clients and athletes. Through case studies and video demos, you’ll get a simple and effective way to assess this area and help improve everyday function for what can be an elusive condition.
