Sean G. Smith has experience in both emergency and critical care. He has written CE neonatal and pediatric pharmacology exams for the American Intensive Care Nursing Association, and also wrote clinical updates for Mosby. He has practiced and taught Critical / Emergency Medicine and First Aid Emergency Medicine for over 15 years. Career highlights include research in molecular endocrinology, service in the United States Navy, a wide range of intensive care units, flight nurse and medical missions, and providing medical support to NASA. Sean lectures nationally and has extensive text review / exam writing / copyright credits. He holds many advanced specialty certifications in critical care, emergency and flight care, as well as cardiology and neonatal / pediatric critical care transport.
Sean is a specialized and respected instructor serving as an official instructor for the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Elementary Life Support (Black Sea Fleet), Children’s Extended Life Support (Pals in RF), Extended Cardiac Life Support (ACL-RF), Tactical Combat Losses Course (CCC), Geriatric Emergency Medicine Education (Gems), Fundamentals of Intensive Care Support (CCC), and Pediatric Fundamentals of Intensive Care Support (PFCCS).
