Your Happiness Genes with Dawson Church
Description
HOW DOES EPIGENETICS APPLY TO YOU?
In a nutshell, epigenetics shows that your genetic expression is not permanently fixed at birth, but actually evolves as you grow and learn. Through healthy habits and transformational practices as simple as tapping, you can turn on genes that prevent disease and biochemical pathways that lead to well-being. You can also turn off disease-causing genes through tapping, meditation, yoga, and other simple practices. This means you can change the way your genes are expressed and literally reprogram your cellular pathways, which can dramatically improve your health and your body’s response to disease and increase your happiness. Although this science is in its infancy, it has remarkable and practical implications for realizing your full potential. Epigenetic research shows that you are not genetically “doomed” by the hand that is given to you. Instead, you can influence your health through methods that alter genetic expression. Stress, which has proven to shorten your life by 9-14 years, is a key factor in your health and happiness. As you learn to better deal with stress, you turn off genes that make your body age faster or become more disease-prone, and turn on the genes for happiness. Dawson will separate fact from fiction and show you how epigenetics relates to transformational practices such as mindfulness meditation and tapping. It’s all about stopping being a “victim” of your genes by learning methods that give you the ability to influence them. If you are fascinated by the interplay of science, spirituality, health and conscious evolution, this will be an exciting adventure at the forefront of what we know. With this program, you can: Learn to reduce stress and cortisol levels through simple relaxation and energy psychology practices throughout the day – which then dramatically impact other health indicators Discover shifts that affect reproductive hormones and neurotransmitters – problem solving at both the psycho-spiritual and biomedical levels Learn how to turn off stress signals and enhance relaxation signals, which in turn affect your genetic expression Put epigenetic knowledge into practice by letting you flip your own genetic switches Develop Daily Practices for Longevity – Based on Research That Shows Stress Relief Can Extend Your Life 9-14 Years Determine which methods – meditation, tapping EFT, neurofeedback – work best, and why personalize your own health program by identifying the most effective methods for your body Activate the “Epigenetic Health Spiral” to Boost Your Health and Happiness – At Any Age Experience integrity by releasing old emotions, trauma, and stories from your system WHAT YOU WILL DISCOVER IN THESE 7 WEEKS The course runs on Mondays at 5:00 pm PT. In this 7-week program, Dawson guides you through fundamental transformational practices to successfully open paths to a brighter life. Each weekly live contemplation and training will harmoniously build upon the next — so that you develop a complete, holistic understanding of the practices, tools, and principles you will need to release the genie in your genes.
Module 1: YOUR DNA IS NOT YOUR FATE (JUNE 20) The most important guiding history in human biology over the past half century has been the history of the genome. The theory of genetic determinism teaches that “it’s all about your genes.” However, recent discoveries have shown that only a small portion of the genome is fixed – while more than 80% are affected by environmental influences such as emotions, beliefs, and transcendental experiences. This inspiring new story demonstrates that you can consciously change patterns of gene expression and create more health and happiness. In this module, you will find: Ways of Expressing Genes – Turning On and Off How genes make proteins and what it means to program better health in your cells How Your Thoughts, Feelings, and Beliefs Affect Your Genes Exercise that allows you to take control of your gene expression to improve your health and well-being 2 Empirical Stress Reduction Practices That Will Lead to Immediate Shifts in Your Nervous System and Gene Expression Module 2: YOUR DESIGN BRAIN (JUNE 27) Your brain holds important keys to health, vitality, and quality of life. For example, neural bundles increase in size and connectivity when used frequently, which improves memory and cognitive abilities. Areas of the brain correlate with patterns of gene expression, such as those that regulate the stress response. Very frequent neural signals cause astonishingly rapid growth of synapses connecting neurons. Over time, this produces more volume in certain areas of the brain, such as the prefrontal cortex, increasing your brain’s performance. In contrast, stress causes areas of the brain such as the hippocampus to shrink over time, while increasing the signaling capacity of stress signaling circuits. In this module, you will find: Areas of your brain and how they interact, grow and shrink Parts of the brain responsible for cognition and stress Simple Practices to Increase or Decrease Your Brain’s Signaling Capacity EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), also known as “tapping”, which science has proven to reduce stress Module 3: YOUR HAPPY GENES (JULY 11) Could there really be a gene for happiness? Does happiness cause changes in your genome? Not long ago, scientists would have found these questions absurd. Today they are at the forefront of research, and we find dynamic exchanges between our moods, including how happy or unhappy we are, and genetic conditions. In particular, the genes for inflammation associated with disease and the genes for immunity associated with vibrant health are now known to be woven into the complex dance that evokes our emotions. In this module, you will learn: Why did the stress response caused by hairs help our ancestors survive, but … Why is this reaction now killing our brain cells and our happiness? How stress reduction alters the expression of hundreds of genes Studies that show happiness can add 10-15 years to your The gene that “regulates” the forces of joy and laughter Module 4: ENERGY IN HEALING (JULY 25) Your body has an electromagnetic field, just like your organs and cells. In fact, within a year of the discovery of electricity, doctors have already experimented with its use for healing – research that is now being revived. Because your genes interact with electrical and other energy fields, disease can often be found in them long before it appears in molecular form. In this module, we will explore energy medicine and energy psychology, focusing on the areas of research most applicable to changing your physical and psychological states. In this module, you will learn: Methods for detecting health and disease in an electromagnetic field Practices to bring about quick healing in your body Daily 5-minute exercise to regulate your energy – and will give you more steady concentration, more vitality and more positive emotions.
Module 5: PRACTICES THAT CHANGE GENE EXPRESSION (AUGUST 1) A growing body of research in practices such as mindfulness meditation, tapping EFT, and neurofeedback shows that these techniques can have profound effects on health, especially through feedback loops that affect genetic expression and hormonal cycles. We also examine the five main brain waves that can be measured and the patterns observed as objective benchmarks for stress and relaxation. In this module, you will learn: How to incorporate various practices that will promote inner peace and shift in the expression of your genes How the “epigenetic health cycle” builds resilience by allowing you to thrive in situations where you were emotionally or physically vulnerable The Nature of Stress Relief Genes That Make You Feel Good Characteristics of theta, delta, alpha, beta and gamma brain wave states – and how to engage your brain in the most favorable states. A simple Eco-meditation technique based on physical postures that automatically induce an altered state of deep relaxation and connection. MODULE 6: MEMORY CONSOLIDATION AND EXTINGUISHING (AUGUST 8) Traumatic memories make a lasting impression on the brain because they had real value for the survival of our ancestors. However, this means that most people’s brains were overly formed by negative early childhood memories, and parts of us are still “stuck” in these traumatic memories. Such memories were associated with the switching on of genes associated with illness and mental illness. While it was once thought impossible to erase these traumatic memories, new research suggests that these memories can be altered and replaced with new positive memories. In this module, you will find: How to extinguish a traumatic memory Reasons Your Brain Is Velcro for Negative Experiences and Teflon for Positive How early childhood trauma is deeply rooted in theta and delta brain waves The role of extinction and “reconsolidation” in the formation of memory Practices that transform traumatic childhood experiences into positive memories Module 7: TRANSCENDENCE AWAKENING: SPIRITUAL PRACTICES TO MAXIMIZE YOUR POTENTIAL (15 AUGUST) Throughout its history, the field of psychology has focused on mental health issues and how to bring people back to “normalcy.” But what lies above this “normal” plateau? This is the realm of transcendental experience. This week we explore mystical states in which you transcend religion to experience the transcendental reality that underlies all spiritual traditions. In this exciting final module, you’ll discover: How to Induce Transcendental Experiences You Can Use Daily Genetic and neurological characteristics of transcendental experiences How to induce mystical states using physiological signals A guide to integrating the practices you learned in 7 weeks into your lifestyle An advanced form of Eco-meditation that invokes guidance from your deep subconscious Online NLP Course So what is NLP? NLP stands for Neurolinguistic Programming. Neuro refers to your neurology; Linguistics refers to language; Programming refers to how this neural language functions. In other words, learning NLP is like learning the language of your own mind! NLP is the study of superior communication with both oneself and others. It was developed by simulating excellent communicators and therapists who have obtained results with their clients. NLP is a collection of tools and techniques, but there is much more to it. It is the attitude and methodology of knowing how to achieve your goals and get results.
