My name is Elliott Hals …
I am a former professional Strongman, powerlifter, and D1 College football player.
I’m also at the helm of two YouTube channels that together have amassed more than 2.5 million subscribers …
And only a few years ago,
I did something that surprised everyone
I stopped posting on YouTube …
Drop the lift,
And stopped coaching clients.
Here’s why:
Pop, pop, pop
Do you know what this is?
This is the sound of my biceps as I tore up the roots of trees from my father’s garden.
When I grabbed this thick root with my brutal, sturdy, hand-carrying 320-pound farmers, I never thought it would cause a devastating, career-destroying injury.
Of course,
I heard these shuddering POPs and looked at my arm in shock to see my bicep bend towards the top of my shoulder.
And I screamed
Not because of the pain …
I was crying because it signaled the end of the Strongman Elliot competition.
I had to kill the rival enforcer inside me.
I felt like a cowboy who had to shoot a horse because it broke its leg.
But the injuries didn’t end there …
A few years later I was injured again in a trampoline accident,
Then I had a hernia,
Then I tore my second bicep,
Then my Achilles.
And for a while …
I wandered around like a modern day Pirate
The bitter truth is,
No corrective exercise could have prevented these acute injuries.
I knew all the details of corrective exercises before these injuries appeared.
Just like you probably do, I rolled foam, stretched and mobilized my body.
But it couldn’t stop this plague of injuries …
After all, with the culmination of all these injuries …
They made me stop lifting
And, in turn, hang up Elliott’s YouTube as well,
Because I didn’t feel like I was very useful in the fitness world with all these injuries.
So now these long term injuries have not only destroyed my Strongman,
But also, made my career scream to a standstill.
It was a cold time …
I am discouraged,
I had to remove myself from the world, and I did a lot of self-reflection.
It was time to find something new
The ideas of rhythmic gymnastics and gymnastics came to my mind, but there were some aspects that I didn’t like.
Then someone mentioned yoga …
“I can’t do yoga”
I’m a strong person, I’m too far from flexible, I’m built to lift heavy shit, not make downy dogs and warriors in trousers choking on the crotch.
But then,
I came through a man with a painted face in brief headlines…
It was BKS Iyengar (strange name, I know),
And in this video, this yoga master introduced yoga in a way that just shocked me.
He only imagined his intricate yoga moves in his underpants, in the presence of a crowd of people in business suits, flowing like a river. And he performed not only poses that showed his flexibility, flexibility and poise, but also his strength.
It would be of interest to everyone.
Soon I began to study him and his teachings more,
And this proved to be the nail in the coffin when I soon came across a video that talked about integrating yoga, breath, and mind.
Mainly, how yoga can not only make you more mobile and structurally healthy, but also how it can help you breathe deeper, become more grounded, and maintain relaxation even in the most stressful times.
Something we could all use …
But it wasn’t like that …
I have done 90% of yoga for almost 3 years!
And I got incredible benefits!
I have experienced:
More mobility
Better understanding of my body in space
Less muscle pain
Deep breathing
Calmer in stressful situations
And most importantly…
My muscle imbalances began to heal, my injuries dissipated, and I felt fresh and fresh as a new hundred-dollar bill.
But,
HUGE PROBLEM
I noticed a steep decline in some important areas …
My weight was the lowest since I was 17,
I became weak,
Power plummeted,
My power was shot,
I went from being a first-division football player and a fiery strongman to a flexible hippie who lives in the clouds …
And even worse …
My alpha Aggression has passed
The part that made me a man.
I became a beta.
And one day I realized it …
Just like you would …
I ran back to the iron.
But,
Things got worse …
I was no longer the same person.
And my body can’t handle weight the same way …
I was too unstable for heavy loads or even explosive, powerful movements
My body burned quickly
Violation of muscle balance
The joint pain is back
My posture quickly deteriorated
And the trouble I was trying to escape from when I turned to yoga filled me as soon as I started climbing again.
HOW DID I FINALLY GET UP AND DO YOGA
Two things that were very important to me,
Two things that everyone in the world has seen benefit from …
And I had to make them work together.
I wanted to manipulate the parameters of strength training in combination with carefully selected yoga streams.
So the user will endlessly maintain their strength, power, and size while simultaneously treating scar tissue, lubricating joints, and creating better posture.
And most importantly,
Do this without overtraining.
And I hit the sweet spot
I didn’t have to lift so hard for my muscle imbalance to break out.
But it was more than enough to support my achievements.
And the yoga streams were complex, and developed fascia nodes,
But not so much that it interferes with my ascent.
I HAVE SUCCESSFULLY CREATED A METHOD FOR CREATING AN UNBLOCKED, MOBILIZED, LIQUID BODY THAT REMAINS STRONG AND POWERFUL
How did I achieve this balance?
By carefully manipulating the tempo, repetition ranges, and volume to simultaneously engage the systems of strength, strength, and hypertrophy,

Choosing yoga streams that complemented the power movements I chose.
And my body felt better than ever.
The hybrid effect of combining yoga and strength training was felt immediately, and both even intersected with each other –
Strength training supports my ability to flow, but surprisingly, yoga supports my strength training.
