Latest in Clinical Nutrition Volume 6 (2011) by Dr Greger
DESCRIPTION
The Genesis goes back more than a decade. Like most doctors, I went into medicine because I wanted to help people, but I found that some hospital practice often dispensed medications to neutralize the side effects of other medications that I had originally prescribed, just to ease symptoms or correct some risk factor. Meanwhile, the bed behind the hospital bed was filled with people with preventable conditions – emphysema, diabetes, heart disease. I wanted to find out the cause of the problem; I wanted to practice medicine on a larger scale.
So I started traveling around the country in medical schools, in hospital balls, and in community groups on preventive medicine and lifestyle medicine. By maximizing the number of conversations to 40 per month, I (and my family!) We soon realized that this constant tour of conversations was unstable. So I started writing books and five years ago I started writing an annual review of the world’s scientific literature on the most interesting, practical, and innovative science published over the past 12 months, about how to better feed yourself and your families for prevention, treatment, and cure. and even reverse a chronic disease.
Last year, one of the DVDs attracted the attention of those who, to help fulfill part of their public health mission, offered to put all my DVDs on the Internet. And thanks to them, a year later was born NutritionFacts.org. The site, launched in August 2011, with pre-loaded videos from the first four volumes of my “The latest in nutrition” DVD series, and for the past two months has been showcasing a new daily video from volume 5, the latest of which just came out on Friday. So, today we present the first video from the new DVD. Eventually (by the end of the year) all the videos from volume 6 will appear on the site, but if you want to see what happens next, you’d rather watch them directly or share them as gifts that you can or.
