Kopywriting Kourse by AppSumo
Description
So you’ve read articles on the internet about improving conversions by changing titles and copying. It’s true … it really works. I’ll show you: AppSumo is a web-based company that continually improves the lives of its users through strategic discounts on essential products for startups and business users. This fat-ass Sumo is sending you one big deal to save money on tech for startups (like apps and software) … every day. Which one was more understandable (and possibly more offensive)? You are right, second. This is because it doesn’t contain all of the hyped buzzwords that most companies use. I mean, why the hell are you writing like that? Ok ok, the above example was a cheap example. How about proving the words on the page are making the most money? How about this as evidence: There was an article in The New York Times titled “Groupon’s fate depends on words.” The article goes on to talk about how Groupon is obsessed with what they write on their deal pages … because after millions of split tests, they have shown that the right words can dramatically increase their conversion rates (aka mo ‘monaaayy when they submit a deal ). So, one of the fastest growing companies has ever put a huge emphasis on words on the page. This tells us that words can be important … very important. There is now a well-documented science behind this writing. Many people try to write this way but don’t know how to sell properly. Big mistake of young Sumo-Ling. Fortunately, there are formulas, tricks and tactics that can transform even the most BS marketing-sounding copy into material that people listen to, understand and are convinced to buy. Sincerely, Chief “Boring Letter Because Boring Letter Sucks” Sumo
