The seminar will be conducted by Lois Kam Heymann, M.A., a 30-year expert, highly qualified therapist, and author on the diagnosis and treatment of hearing impairment (APD) and other listening challenges. An opportunity to learn from CCC-SLP.
This course is a hands-on workshop for clinicians with background knowledge about hearing impairments and hearing impairments. There are reviews of listening subskills: auditory attention, auditory discrimination, auditory memory, auditory map/ground, phonological segmentation and blending, and auditory coupling. Case studies and hierarchical audiotherapy interventions are presented. You have the opportunity to practice building long-term and short-term goals, objectives, and activities. Small group work is encouraged.
