Jiddu Krishnamurti – Is it Possible to Live with Total Lucidity (Claremont) (1968)
Description
In his opening remarks, Dr. Houston Smith describes Krishnamurti as the sage of our age. Krishnamurti and Dr. Smith investigate the issue of mindfulness and ask if it is possible to live in this world with full awareness. As Krishnamurti often does, he starts by looking at the issue and tries to define the word “clarity.” Krishnamurti asks: “Is it possible for a person living in this world to find within himself a clarity that is constant, which is true, in the sense that it is not contradictory, is it possible for a person to find it?” Krishnamurti goes on to explain that he feels it is possible. about the actors Jiddu Krishnamurti was born on May 12, 1895 in Madanapalla, South India. From 1929 until his death in 1986, he traveled all over the world, speaking spontaneously to large audiences. He entered into dialogue with religious leaders, scientists, professors, writers, psychologists, computer experts, and people from all walks of life who deeply doubt their daily lives. His conversations and dialogues have been collected and published in over fifty books and translated into as many different languages. Among his books – “Think about these things”, “Education and the meaning of life”, “The awakening of the mind”, “The first and last Freedom.” Krishnamurti did not claim any caste, nationality or religion and was not bound by any traditions. He said that a person must free himself from all fear, conditioning, authority and dogma through self-knowledge, and this will lead to order and psychological mutation. A violent world engulfed in conflict, in his opinion, cannot be transformed into a life of kindness, love and compassion by any political, social or economic strategy, but only through this mutation in individuals caused by their own observation, without the mediation of any guru or organized religion. … Dr. Houston Smith is a former professor of religion and psychology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is the author of the great classic “The Religion of Man”, which has sold over two million copies, as well as six other books on psychology, religion and philosophy.
