Autoresponder Klass by Neville Medhora
DESCRIPTION
How do you keep consumers in what you do…. by tapping them on the shoulder and offering them something awesome. One of the best ways to do this is by using an email autoresponder.
So here’s the thing:
Many people want to help make their entire answering machine, but to be honest, they have no idea what to write, how to structure the sequence of answering machines, when to sell and when not to sell (this is very important).
The worst-case scenario is when people just load their answering machine with sales messages.
This is the worst idea in the world, and it always ends badly!!
It will be like a friend who only calls you when they need something.
Everyone hates this guy. Don’t be such a guy by just sending spam to all your customers.
What you are trying to do is build relationships with your customers. But when I tell people this, they whine with the same complaint:
But Newville! I don’t know what to write!!!”
Of course, they don’t, because you haven’t been trained in how to talk to a list of subscribers.
If you do not know the proven tactics/strategies/scenarios that can be used when selling, then you will certainly ruin everything.
You know what…. I’m going to solve this problem with a little equation right here. Just use this formula to write emails to your list:
Seems simple? This.
All you do is take a topic from life (relationships, health, daddy Issues, driving in traffic…..) and then relate it to your product.
Here’s an example:
Recently, a large web company, LeadPages, interviewed me and asked me about how someone selling a “non-sexual” product can make their audience look forward to their emails, and they gave me the example of a guy named Jeff who sells Superfoods. (Superfoods are foods that suggest crazy health benefits).
Anyway…. I told them that I see a lot of people who send selfish emails like this:
Email 1: Hey, buy my Superfoods!!!!
Email 2: Omg did you know that I offer Superfoods??!?
Email 3: seriously Superfoods are very good for you, buy some of my Superfoods!!!
Email 4: < – – – This is where people will get tired of your spam and unsubscribe.
It’s serious that many people behave this way with their emails. With the same success you can say:
– Goodbye, a potential customer, I’m glad you hate me for spam!!!
And thank you in advance for telling your friends to avoid me!!”
No no no…….. You, my friend, want to send emails that educate your client. It’s a secret sauce.
Jeff the Superfood dude could save his reputation if he used our [Life] + [Your Product] formula.
Similar to this:
Email 1: here is a free printout for your refrigerator, it shows the best Superfoods for each meal.
Email 2: trying to lose weight? This Superfood cocktail can replace a meal in 2 minutes, a free recipe.
Email 3: What should I do if I try to eat healthier but my spouse doesn’t want to do it? Some scenarios to follow.
Email 4: by far the healthiest superfood you can put in your body. And I checked them all.
QA….do you see that the overall tone of these letters is much more giving, much more educational, much more caring, much more appreciative, much more interesting than the typical “just sell-sell-sell” method?
If someone starts getting really into Superfoods … which email list will they prefer? Obviously, someone who sends them damn good advice and suggestions, not spam.
So after you give them good things, they become good and warm.
Think about it:
AppSumo is a giant email list.
Groupon is a giant email list.
Any marketer you know manages their business based on their email list.
The biggest traffic driver on Facebook….you can guess: email!
But there is a special science about how to sell through an answering machine. I’ll teach you that.
“Why should I learn from Neville?””
People pay me hundreds of dollars an hour to help them with their copy….. and it works.
I created a lot of products that were sold exclusively through answering machines.
The answering machines I have so far make people email me, look forward to my “next” email, and warm up to buy … I didn’t lift a finger.
I was the chief copywriter at AppSumo during our giant growth phase of 50,000 to 700,000 people, and people were waiting to read all my emails.
I will make you muslin faces during the course (just to see if you are paying attention) 😉
I’ve done hundreds of individual consultations with people, so I know what to focus on with different people.
I’ve seen all kinds of methods used in the marketing world…. and know which ones usually work and which usually fail.
